Last night after everyone went home John and I had to drive back into town to return the rental car he drove home. On our way home he was telling me that we didn't spend as much as we had budgeted for K-T's birthday. After talking about how to spend our extra $100 we decided to go back to Fry's and spend our $100 on more $1 items. I know that it is silly, but we were just so excited to get home and fill our cabinets with our bargain finds. John thinks I was nuts when I started taking pictures of ALL of our food. Not that we EVER go without it's just nice knowing that we have extra.
It's hard to tell in the picture but we picked up about 20 boxes of fruit snacks. Kaitlen likes them in her lunch and Payten just likes candy. $1 a box!
Inside my lazy Susan we bought 10 spaghetti sauces and noodles all for a $1 each. Plus a ton of canned veggies those were .77 each
Pudding and Jello $1 a box!
Payten was very concerned were her 'num nums were going I think she liked them on the stove.
Power aide 10 for 10. We are having some drinking water problems so we bought the power aide for Payten until we get the clear that our water is good to drink again. Usually we buy the powdered sugar free juice mix.
Lunch ables $1 we never buy these but they make a great snack I think we bought 20
Sunny D $1 we bought 8 of them I love Sunny D.
After John made fun of me I didn't take the freezer pictures but we bought 15 cheese blocks all for $1 and 4 sour creams for $1. We also got boxes of noddles and yummy rice those make a great side dish for meals all for $1 and hot dogs were $1. We were supper excited!

It is always nice to have food in the fridge and cupboards to feed the family with! Keep up the great work!
It's not silly at all! Food storage is very important...just ask the Prophet...that excited feeling you get is the spirit confirming that what you are doing is the right thing. Sounds silly but when my cupboards and fridge are empty I get scared and fearful it's not a good feeling. So like Crystal said, "Keep up the good work!" It's comforting to me to know my grandchildren are being taken care of!
Amen to your mom's comment. It's so important to obey the commandments, even the ones that don't seem so spiritual in nature.
